Fillings: Fillings come in a variety of materials and can come to the rescue of many tooth ailments, repairing cracked or broken teeth, and filling in decayed areas. The tooth is cleaned thoroughly prior to filling, all debris and microbes are cleared prior to filling. Fillings come in a number of materials, all with their various pros and cons, ranging in areas of strength, durability, aesthetics and ability to match coloring, and in cost.

Crowns and Bridges: Unlike dentures, crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetics. A broken tooth, even if it doesn't hurt, is an urgent matter. A broken tooth is prone to infection, decay and further damage. While fillings can repair cavities and cracks, they can't add the stability needed for chewing if the structural integrity of the tooth has been compromised.  When a tooth must be removed, a bridge not only fills the gap in your smile, but it prevents the rest of your teeth from shifting. A bridge utilizes the two healthy teeth to anchor your new addition in place. A crown is fashioned for each of the healthy teeth, with the prosthetic in the center.

Root Canals: Over 14 million Root Canals are performed a year, saving natural teeth and preventing the need for prosthetic solutions. A Root Canal targets the pulp of the tooth, which is a collection of blood vessels directly beneath the layer of dentin. The dentin is usually protected by the enamel, but when the enamel has decayed, the microscopic hollow tubes inside the dentin layer allows food and drink to stimulate the nerves below, causing pain. When the injured pulp below is removed and thoroughly cleaned, it protects the remaining tooth from impending infection, allowing you to preserve your smile.

Dentures: Dentures are removable prosthetics, designed to restore your smile. Full or partial dentures not only restore your ability to chew and your ability to speak clearly, but they can also prevent a sagging of facial muscles that tend to weaken the longer you are without teeth. Dentures are designed not just to be functional, but to match your face with the selection of the best tooth size and shape. Partial dentures are color matched to your existing teeth. Implant-supported dentures are also removable, but are held firmly in place by two or more dental implants, reducing slippage.

Dental Implants:

Dental implants are custom fit to your needs. They are made from synthetic materials and and are attached to the jawbone or metal framework fixed to the jawbone. Dental implants require a sturdy jawbone and a healthy immune system to support the acceptance of the new implant and proper healing. There are a number of different types of implants depending on your unique needs. While the process can be extensive, the benefits are permanent and eliminate the need for dentures and the struggles associated with denture care.
